StayScreen is a product of LeftBrainLogic, LLC (“LeftBrainLogic,” “StayScreen,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information through the StayScreen website, account setup and checkout flow, administrative dashboard, guest-facing tablet experience, support channels, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).
This policy applies to information we collect for our own business purposes. Property operators may also enter information about guests, cleaners, employees, contractors, and other contacts into StayScreen. For that information, the property operator determines why and how it is used, and StayScreen processes it to provide the Service. Questions about a property operator’s practices should be directed to that operator.

Property operators are responsible for having an appropriate legal basis and providing any required notice or consent before entering another person’s information or directing StayScreen to send that person a message.
Our servers and service providers may automatically receive IP address, browser and device type, operating system, requested URL, referring URL, request time, session identifiers, and security or error logs. The guest tablet also reports limited device and page activity needed for status monitoring, troubleshooting, and operation.
If you accept marketing cookies in the cookie notice on our marketing website, we and our advertising partners collect additional information to measure and improve ad campaigns:

Third-party services process information under their own terms and privacy notices when you interact directly with them, such as on Stripe-hosted checkout or portal pages.

We use mobile numbers to send transactional messages such as verification, login, password-reset, security, task, cleaning, reservation, and service messages. Message and data rates may apply. Account holders may withdraw consent for their own verification or security texts by contacting us at [email protected], although doing so may prevent use of features that require phone verification. Recipients of messages initiated by a property operator should contact that operator regarding their communication preferences. A verified mobile number is required to complete online account setup and use certain security features.
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, fulfill the purposes described in this policy, comply with legal and accounting requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention depends on the information and context:
Backups, security records, provider records, or information subject to a legal hold may remain longer. We may retain de-identified information that can no longer reasonably identify a person.
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed for the nature of the information we process. These include transport encryption in production, access controls, hashed account passwords and access codes, limited-lifetime verification codes, and restricted access to payment information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You may update much of your account and property information through the dashboard. Depending on where you live and subject to legal exceptions, you may also have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or a portable copy of personal information, or to appeal our response to a request. You can opt out of the Meta and Google advertising cookies described above at any time by declining or resetting marketing cookies in our Cookie Policy; we do not sell personal information for money.

If StayScreen holds your information only for a property operator, we may direct the request to that operator. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.
The Service is designed for businesses and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly solicit personal information directly from children. Property operators may record guest counts by broad age group for operational purposes and are responsible for doing so lawfully. Contact us if you believe a child provided personal information directly to StayScreen without appropriate authorization.
StayScreen is operated from the United States. Information may be processed in the United States and other locations where our providers operate. Those locations may have data-protection rules different from those where you live.
We may update this policy as the Service or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy with a new effective date and provide additional notice when required by law. If a change materially expands how we use previously collected personal information, we will provide appropriate notice or obtain consent where required.
