Setup guide

Your tablet arrives ready to run. Here’s what makes it feel like yours.

Every tablet ships with working defaults in place, including the weather slider, so the kiosk works the moment it’s powered on. The sections below make it your property.

Would rather not do this yourself?

Add Supported Setup and our team will customize the software for your property — up to 2 hours of setup, done for you, so the tablet is guest-ready without you touching a setting.

Guest-facing basics

  • Host contact information

Add the name, phone number, email, and photo guests see in the kiosk header so they know who to reach out to.

  • Wi‑Fi information

Enter your network name and password so guests can connect right away — it also builds the QR code on the Wi‑Fi screen.

  • Welcome screen

Set the welcome message and timing window, and choose whether it covers your quick-access shortcuts when guests check in.

  • Checkout screen

Set your checkout message and timing window so departing guests see the right instructions before they leave.

  • Additional slider screens

Add any extra rotating screens beyond the defaults — house rules, parking, seasonal notices, anything specific to your property.

Operations

  • Calendar feeds

Connect your booking calendars so StayScreen knows who’s staying and when, and can time the welcome and checkout screens automatically.

  • Kiosk navigation

Choose which pages appear in the kiosk menu, put them in the order you want, and set any shortcut buttons.

  • Contacts

Add the contacts needed to manage your property — co-hosts, cleaners, maintenance, others.

  • Cleaning team

Choose which contacts get cleaning notifications and links between stays.

  • Stay tags

Set up any tags you use to flag stays that need special handling — early check-in, pets, VIP. Only needed if you use tags.

  • Task templates

Create recurring tasks tied to check-in or check-out so they’re generated automatically for every stay.

Local recommendations

  • Restaurants, adventures, shopping & events

Populate all four categories with your local picks so guests have somewhere to eat, something to do, and something to see.
